Exploring Nature | Fly fishing a mountain creek

Finding beautiful wild brown trout in cold mountain creeks in the west of Victoria. We waded up a creek where we found a long run with calm flowing water. The sun was setting and trout were surface feeding - there were 2-5 feeding off the surface at a time during sunset. We tried a dry fly with a little sinking nymph at the end. They seemed to prefer the nymph (my fly fishing knowledge is very limited). We got 4 takes and one was successful. I've been told that wild trout have the beautiful red spots, whereas stocked or lake trout just have black spots. The Brown trout in this video had beautiful red spots and his back was a lovely dark olive colour.
